About Shey Systems

Thomas Shey
President & Founder

With more than 20 years of experience buying and selling spare aircraft parts, Shey Systems' President and Founder Thomas Shey brings a thorough knowledge of aviation equipment and worldwide network of aircraft parts suppliers.

Thomas received his bachelor's degree in finance from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, and spent a short time as a stockbroker before finding his niche in the aviation industry. It didn't take long to discover that the transition from buying and selling stocks to buying and selling spare aircraft parts was a natural fit.

He landed his first position with an aviation parts supplier in 1988. As vice president of international sales, he gained extensive experience in purchasing, shipping and receiving, and established contacts with hundreds of reputable parts vendors around the world, consistently ranking among the top sales leaders.

Building on a proven track record, Thomas fulfilled a personal goal of owning his own business when he started Shey Systems, Inc. in 1996. His vision of providing customers with quality parts at a fair price, product and market expertise, and exceptional customer service is the driving force behind the company's success.

Jake has been with Shey Systems for over 15 years. As the first employee of the company, Jake was instrumental in building Shey Systems into one of the most respected aircraft parts trading companies in the industry. Jake began his career with a firm focus on regional aircraft, especially the DHC-8 and ATR 42. His knowledge has evolved to include major commercial aircraft such as the B 737, B 757 and B 767. Jake's professional strength lies in his ability to source hard-to-find parts and provide excellent customer service to Shey Systems' expansive client base. With customers and vendors throughout the world, Jake will be happy to assist you with your rotable part needs.

Jason joined the Shey Systems team in 2001 shortly after receiving his bachelor’s degree in international business. More than a decade later, he offers particular expertise in Boeing, Airbus and ATR aircraft and works with clients in a variety of locations worldwide. His favorite aspect of buying and selling commercial aircraft parts is meeting people from different walks of life. In his free time, he enjoys athletics and spending time with his family.

Chances are, Kathy's friendly voice is the first one you hear when you call Shey Systems. In addition to connecting customers with the right Shey staffer, she handles accounts receivable and collections, making her the go-to person when you have billing questions or need a copy of an invoice. A team player both in and out of the office, Kathy is a big sports fan and proudly cheers for the Cubs and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.
